JavaFX looks neat. Haven't really seen it in action until now.

It turns instantiating UI elements and nesting them together from a painful task into a playful, fun experience. For straight-line blocks of data model setup stuff the JavaFX code is nicer on the eyes and fingers than the equivalent Java chunks (mostly due to the local type inference).
I may not actually use JavaFX for my project, however, because which UI elements I should instantiate will be driven my inference in prolog, not some set plan.
