CG grass, using my own chaos technique.
Start with a simple mesh (20 triangle torus in this case).
Jitter all points a bit uniformally (20%).
Subdivide with smoothing (2 steps, K0.9)
Draw this mesh with a dirt-colored cloud texture.
Map current world coordinates to texture coordinates (x,z -> u,v).
Make copies of the mesh (64 of them).
Jitter all points even more, uniformall y (10%).
Draw with speckled alpha texture (starfield?).
The blades aren't smooth and some are disjoint... but its fuzzy!
